“Can I Come With You?”

The book introduces the reader to several projects Amanda Koster has worked on throughout the world; the work being done by Doctors Without Borders at a pre-natal health clinic in the slums of Brazil, “AIDS Is Knocking,” a day in the life with AIDS orphans and widows in Kenya in collaboration with international NGO Rabuor Village Project.  The book also  connects the reader with the active minds of Kenyan youth to whom Amanda taught photography.

Can I Come with You? then follows Amanda on tours of Romania through her grandfathers birth village, and Morocco, where she documents the “Moroccan Women’s Music Project: Voices of Women in Islam,” female Berber Sufi Musicians throughout Morocco.  Woven throughout the book are excerpts from Amanda’s personal journal written while working these projects throughout the world.

5% of Can I Come with You?  books proceeds will go to Vatsalya, an organization in Jaipur, India who has worked with Amanda’s organization SalaamGarage.com that rescues children from the streets of India and places them into a legitimate,  loving home.
